The seasonal cycle with every turn of the page – collecting candles on a birthday cake!
Long hot summers becoming deep with snow – as a child they came to go!
Autumn returned in a rain of conkers – and Spring’s buds were sure to grow!
Taking in the view through Hawk’s eye windows – with the calling of the page,
Perceptive is the link – with the pen and ink – and the reflections of an age!
Free to be thee – against the roots of a tree – and breathing of the natural air,
Or channelling the water – held by the earth – with its flow to tap and share!
Hills and mountains came and went – wrapping the spirit in nature’s scent,
The capture of a spark – in the very deep of the dark – with a decision to be spent!
With each and every breath – bringing us closer to death – a life of fun and games,
With inspiration we find our influences – rising like a phoenix from the flames!
