The Morning Magpie!

Greeted by the dawning of the morning Magpie,
Dancing a welcome from the edge of the road!
In and out of the Tree gathering bunched in the corner,
Collecting a diary of memories and lightening the load!

With the turning of the bend you echo the constant,
Testing at the surface and feeling each new day!
Dressed in your black and white and ultraviolet,
Sharing in a common sentiment to introduce the way!

A step into the wash of a milky sunrise,
Across the reach of the cornfields young and in the green,
Pushing a view through the friendly clouds,
Painting a smile on the face of life so splendidly keen!

To a stop with the stillness to feel it breathing,
Hail the releasing of tensions coming to pass,
While the wind it blows a comfort of calming,
Along the line of the hedgerow and tickling the grass!
