Part 17: Lughnasadh
Part 17: Lughnasadh
Dated 10th August 2020
The 6th August found us travelling in our camper through Scotland’s South-West Glens, where we drove off-road and found seclusion close to an interesting granite filled Burn, set within a quiet fauna dressed Glen, to hold our ceremony. Our central table was provided by the remains of a harvested tree, its stump still clinging to the earth by long dead roots and perhaps similarly used by others, as there were remains of ashes and stones surrounding it. Minimal and slightly shorter though it was, we conducted the ceremony with full attention, sometimes notional due to only having our reduced ‘Ceremony Travel Pack’ at times, but heartfelt throughout.
This was a valuable lesson in realisation, of personal approaches to core principles, acceptance of basics and attainment of enjoyment. We expect to repeat this experience again and recommend it to be experienced by anyone or any group who seek a deep feeling of freedom.
