A Scrabbled bag of Words!
A Scrabbled bag of Words!
Painting landscape pictures – with a scrabbled bag of words,
At one with the run of the flowing ink – listening to the birds,
The leaves they dance with a gentle rustle – with the stroking of the breeze,
Sunbeams parachute through the canopy – the enclosing shelter of the trees!
A river bank formation in a knot of roots – and the memories they thread,
A journey played through time and tide – filling the space within your head,
A treasured moment in the dark of the depths – where still water’s run so deep,
Thoughts come and go in a magical circus – the words you catch – you get to keep!
Blended into life with my kith and kin – I become the complete unseen,
Nature’s visual moves on like an overture – with its blanket in the green,
Settling back from the river’s pathway – I can follow the gentle flow,
I can fill my lines while the sun it shines – with my senses letting go!
I let the colour run on my shaded notes – and the passion rise and falls,
Weaving a wonder for deep contemplation – wherever nature calls,
A boyhood solution to an age old problem – when the quill it touched the page,
Spelling out a world of clarity – with the calming of a rage!
What a gift for the art of self-expression – walk your way across your scroll,
Rolling with the ball or pushing the ink – with the word at your control,
At one with the run of the flowing ink – listening to the birds,
Painting landscape pictures – with a scrabbled bag of words!
