Solo Solstice

Saturday 20th June 2020

I spent the day at the Grove, I mowed the grass and tidied up and then set up the central table ready for my solo Summer Solstice Ceremony.

At one o’clock (high noon British Summer Time) my Ceremony began, I honoured the Ancestors, raised a toast to the directions, asked for the blessings of the Elements and lit the fires of the Sun.

The rest of the afternoon I sat in the shade listening to the bird song and drinking the rest of the Mead.

And by sunset I was sober enough to cycle home!
