A Footprint Left in Time!

The wax and wane – they link their constant chain,
Riding the circles of cycles around and again!
The dark and light of the sky – as the sun-wheel rolls by,
Spinning on an axis – in a tilt of seasons – the ever watchful eye!

The ebb and flow – the tides of forever on the go,
The cast of the time-line remembered as the tree-rings grow!
We share the warmth and light – with the cooling of the night,
With each and every nation – we sail the rotation – of the sun it’s burning bright!

The gift runs rife – along the edge of a knife,
Building up the files of memories we gather in life!
We share a moment’s grace – as our connections race,
For every action – there’s a personal reaction – behind each and every face!

The flora and fauna – tucked into each and every corner,
Waking with the fading dreams of dawning – with the sleepy yawner!
A symphony of melody rings – as the dawn chorus sings,
Morning’s natural song – they perform so long – with the joy the songbird brings!

The light and shade – forever out on parade,
Slowly dappled by the dance of tree shadows – the wind has made!
With the turning of the sun – chasing the colours as they run,
With the rays of hope – like a kaleidoscope – for each and every one!

The rise of noon – standing proud like a balloon,
Offering up the Jackdaws and Wood Pigeons – with their familiar tune!
We breathe with the seas – the collective myriad of trees,
Taking our breath away – each and every day – the elemental flow on the breeze!

The peace and calm – it works just like a charm,
Keeping the daydream thinkers – safe from harm!
Channelling the wordings’ of rhyme – while the inspiration is sublime,
The webs I weave – with my heart upon my sleeve – my footprints left in time!
