Into the Labyrinth
Into the Labyrinth
After my last visit to the Rollright Stones I thought it would be nice to see it in daylight.
So, a few weeks ago Little Raven and I met up with Morien in the Stone Circle.
The warm weather had brought a lot of visitors to the site, there were small groups of people everywhere.
Morien said that he had heard of a Labyrinth somewhere by the Whispering Knights, so the three of us followed the path along the edge of the field. The wheat had just been cut so we could see the group of stones in the distance, as we neared the Whispering Knights, I could see an opening to a wooded area just beyond the stones, we headed straight for it.
As we entered, a sign explained about the project and the woodland Art within the site.
There in front of us was the entrance into the Labyrinth, it was made of logs cut from the trees, we followed the path arcing back on ourselves until we reached the middle.
The walk was both enlightening and inspiring as both Morien and myself had the same idea that we should make a Labyrinth at the Grove. Little Raven agreed and had an idea of her own, as its so hot she said why don’t we pop into Wyatts Farm Shop and get an Ice Cream, we can stock up on Mead while we’re there.
