Spring Moon
Spring Moon
The Full moon on Sunday 28th March was some what obscured by thick cloud, but still I continued with my Special Ceremony to mark the first full moon of Spring.
Just after Sunset I put the table in the centre of the circle on to which I stood a lantern and a bowl of water with a few hand fulls of wheat soaking in it.
I had hoped the light of the moon would bless the bowl of wheat but there was no sign – the sky was still cloudy.
I left the Grove at around 9 o’clock, as I cycled home, I could see the lantern flickering through the trees as if it was waving goodbye.
The next day I went over to scatter the wheat on the wheat bed and put the table away, it was a nice sunny day, so I stayed and did a bit of gardening, the sky stayed clear all day and later that evening the moon rose in the East and lit up the sky all night.
Until next time – Glentaowen
